The first quarter of 2025 saw varied performances among the top social networking applications in Latin America. Here's a closer look at the trends for Threads, Telegram Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp Messenger, and OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative.

Threads from Instagram experienced a steady download rate, beginning with 1.2M downloads and peaking at approximately 1.4M in the last week of March. The app maintained a consistent user base, with active users increasing from 65.3M to 70.7M during the quarter.

Telegram Messenger showed a slight increase in revenue, starting at $127K and closing the quarter at $161K. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 1.1M, peaking at 1.3M, and ending at 1M. Active users remained stable around 116M, with minor variations.

Facebook saw a revenue peak of $171K in late February, with downloads initially at 1.8M, reaching a high of 2.1M, and then declining to 1.5M by the end of March. Active users decreased slightly from 290.7M to 282.8M.

WhatsApp Messenger reported minimal revenue changes, maintaining a steady stream. Downloads began at 1.5M, peaked at 2.1M in January, and then gradually declined to 1.1M. Active users remained robust, increasing slightly from 454M to 456M.

OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative saw a steady revenue increase, ending at $32K. Downloads started at 429K, peaked at 1.1M in early February, and then decreased to 397K. Active users also fluctuated, starting at 1.2M and ending at 1.6M.
